Understanding the Unexpected

My AncestryDNA results revealed that I had 7% of my DNA from Korea, which was a complete surprise to me because I believed I was 100% Chinese. While researching Korean culture for this public piece, I realized that there were some connections between it and American culture. I also learned a lot more about their traditions as a whole. Not only did I gain a better grasp of Korean culture, but I also gained an awareness of how Chinese people went to Korea, which filled in only a portion of the historical gap in terms of comprehending how this could have happened.

I present my findings in my vlog, Digging Deeper: Korean DNA?
