My video details my experience on a family trip to Dobson, Surrey County, North Carolina (my maternal grandmother’s ancestral home for over 350 years) earlier this spring and some of the relatives whose graves I found in various sites in the town. I explain the relation these ancestors have to me in my family tree and talk about their life and the history they lived through.

Overall, I cover 4 different relatives in my maternal lineage, and provide insight to the experience of living in Dobson over the centuries. Additionally, I uncover the potential parentage of an ancestor and explain my thought process for how I came to my conclusion.
